Introduction to a Family Law loan

We work in partnership with you and your Solicitor to design a Family Law loan (“Loan”) tailored to your needs, which only charges you for the amount you use. We reduce the admin by paying loan advances directly to your Solicitor and our online tool keeps you in control of the process throughout, with no hidden costs.

• No arrangement fee
• Loans from £50K
• No extension & redemption fees

How it works

Find an Ampla Partner Solicitor

We are partnered with a number of solicitors, so you can choose to use one of them. Alternatively we are happy to get in contact with your existing Solicitor if they aren’t yet a partner and invite them onboard.

Make a loan application

Our simple online form takes minutes to fill in, and will be done by your Solicitor on your behalf.

Application Review

Our lending expertise lets us review your application with a loan tailored to you.

Independent legal advice

When it comes to your finances, we want you to make a fully informed decision. We ensure that you get independent legal advice so you are confident that we are the best option.

Manage your loan

Once your Loan is approved, your solicitor can request to draw down the money in stages, according to what your case requires.  The funds will not be released until you approve them via the online platform.

Your Loan is normally repaid from your final divorce or dissolution settlement, so you can make a fresh start.

How Much Does It Cost?

Representative Example:

• Loan amount £50,000 repaid after 12 months
• Interest rate 18.0% (variable)
• Total amount payable £60,081
• Total charge for credit £10,081, comprising interest payable £9,781 and cost of
Independent Legal Advice £300

Representative APR 20.3%. The interest rate offered will depend on individual
circumstances and may differ from the example above. Terms and conditions apply.

All loans are subject to status and eligibility criteria.

Risk Warning To Keep You Safe

• The Loan (including interest and charges) will be repaid by your solicitor on your behalf, from
your settlement proceeds. This will reduce the final amount you receive.
• The Loan will be repaid from the settlement proceeds, in priority to any payments to you.
• If the settlement proceeds are insufficient to repay the Loan for any reason, you will be
required to make up the shortfall.
• If the legal proceedings are discontinued for any reason, you will still be liable to repay the
Loan to Ampla Finance.
• If you breach the terms of the Loan agreement with Ampla Finance, or the legal proceedings
are not completed within 24 months, the Loan may become repayable by you before any
settlement proceeds are received.
